Osaka City M Residence | Case Study of Wallless Double 450 Adoption
A compact lot with a large opening house, supported by high-strength wooden construction with a fully glass southern facade! An urban wooden house that balances seismic performance and design.
In the M residence planned on a small plot in Osaka City, high-strength seismic walls "Kabe Musou 450" were adopted to create an open living space within the limited site conditions. The facade features large glass openings on the south side, creating abundant natural light and a connection with the city. Typically, the arrangement of load-bearing walls would restrict large openings, but this has been made possible by the high load-bearing performance of Kabe Musou 450. Despite being wooden construction, it balances structural performance and design, overcoming the constraints unique to small plots, making it an advanced example of urban housing.
